What's the real problem?
"Some 36% of households taking in nearly four times the median US salary devote nearly all of their income to household expenses". Housing expenses are the largest chunks of a monthly budget - ranging from 30-40% by income class and housing location.
61.3% of consumers in this survey say they live paycheck-to-paycheck. putting more and more of their lifestyle on credit cards. What is most surprising is that over 20% of high-income earners always or usually carry revolving credit card debt.
What's the real problem? Are we creating a society that is living beyond their means?
